Dr Anita Blakeley Smith is a doctor of clinical psychology who specialises in the treatment of mood and relationship issues in adolescents and adults. She has extensive experience in treating patients in both the public and private practice settings. She has a special interest in men's mental health and mid life issues and their impact on relationships.
She works with adolescents, adults and couples with proven psychology treatments for mood and relationship issues. She aims to treat each client as an individual with their own unique biology, personal history, strengths and areas for change. As such, assessments include a collaborative approach to provide your own program of evidence based intervention. She provides a warm and friendly approach, combined with a wealth of knowledge and experience to her work.
Anita focuses on the areas of mood (depression, stress and various anxiety disorders), self esteem, and relationship issues (including infidelity and relationship breakdown). Her therapy involves a collaborative approach incorporating evidence based treatments (such as CBT,ACT, DBT, Gottmann method) to effectively treat mood and relationship issues.

Qualifications
Her qualifications include a PhD in clinical psychology and an Honors degree in Psychology. She is a registered Clinical Psychologist within the state of NSW and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the APS College of Clinical Psychology. She is published in the clinical areas of adolescent and adult mental health, couples relationships and family functioning.
